Disney Blizzard Beach®

The main Typhoon Lagoon swimming area is a massive wave pool that contains almost 3 million gallons of water. The wave pool is accented by sandy white beaches and 2,100 foot long lazy river.twisting tides, roaring rapids, wonderful waterways and relaxing rivers. Typhoon Lagoon also features a special area where guests can snorkel among live sharks and other tropical fish. Excluding the snorkeling area, all water is heated to a toasty 75-80 degrees year-round.

General Tips

* Get a locker, put your money, keys, wallet, purses AWAY. The key is on a cord that you can put on your wrist for the day.You may get into the locker as much as you like throughout the day.A small locker is $10 and a large is $12, but you get $5 back when you return the key

* Wear your bathing suit under our clothes and then bring a change of clothes for the ride home.I suggest flip flops or water shoes, the ground is extremely HOT.

* You may bring a picnic lunch however, concessions are available

* No glass containers or alcoholic beverages allowed

* Free life jackets available at Snowless Joes, Refundable deposit required

* Guests may not bring in their own fins, masks or snorkels.

* The water at Blizzard is heated year-round between 75 to 80 degrees

Guests at Walt Disney World who have cell phones with data plans can access DSplash. This interactive program gives users access to the water parks by providing:

* Storylines and tips for Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach * "Surfology" and "Skiology" definitions * Cell phone wallpaper * Descriptions of the water park attractions

Access is available by two methods:

* Text message 775274 (SPLASH) and send the message "H20." This is followed by a pre-recorded 30 second phone call from Disney Channel star Corbin Bleu. * Use your cell phone to take a photo of one of four select black and white pix and send it via email to Disney@DSplash.com.
